The Duroché family story began in 1933 when wine was first bottled at the domaine in Gevrey-Chambertin. Four generations later, a new exciting chapter saw Pierre Duroché began working with his father in 2003 before taking over entirely in 2005. Today Pierre and his wife Marianne farm more than 8 hectares of vines in Gevrey and produce remarkably elegant and precise wines from some of the village’s best terroirs (and did you know? in addition to their winemaking prowess, this talented couple are both highly accomplished rock climbers!)
This dinner will showcase these top sites like Lavaut Saint-Jacques, a prime location just at the mouth of the Combe de Lavaut, the large valley that splits the slope of Gevrey-Chambertin in two. Among the impressive lineup - two vintages of the domaine’s incredibly rare Vieilles Vignes cuvée of Lavaut made from a parcel planted in 1923 (only one or two barrels are made per year) as well as two wines made by Pierre’s father that reveal the remarkable longevity of this special terroir. The wines will be paired with a tasting menu from the incomparable Chef Daniel Boulud.
