Domaine de l’Arlot
Domaine de l’Arlot
Nuits-Saint-Georges
Attending Winemaker: Jean-Pierre de Smet
Named for the stream that runs through Premeaux-Pressey, Domaine de l’Arlot has existed since 1871 and works 14 hectares of vines in the Côte de Nuits communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée. L’Arlot’s holdings include parcels in Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru and a rare white Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru. All of the domaine’s vineyards have been cultivated bio-dynamically since 2003. Olivier Leriche began winemaking alongside Jean Pierre de Smet in 1999 and took over the vinification entirely in 2004. Jacques Devauges took over operations in 2011 and intends to continue producing wines that are stylish and elegant, while subtle and complex. He aims to highlight the expression of each terroir as well as the characteristics of each vintage. Domaine de l’Arlot’s philosophy is to, above all else, make wines destined to be drunk with great pleasure.
