Domaine Perrot-Minot

Morey-Saint-Denis

Attending Winemaker: Christophe Perrot-Minot

This estate can trace its history back to the middle of the 19th century when it was founded by the union of the Sigaut and Morizot families. Their descendant Marie-France Merme married Henri Perrot-Minot, giving the domaine its current name. Henri’s son Christophe took over full time in 1993 and the domaine’s holdings were considerably expanded in 2000 with the acquisition of Domaine Pernin-Rossin in Vosne-Romanée. Perrot-Minot owns vines in a considerable number of Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations throughout the Côte de Nuits. Among Christophe’s many innovations at the domaine are an intense commitment to a vigorous sorting of the grapes during harvest and a pursuit of more elegant wines, the latter achieved through a smaller amount of new oak and less extraction. Through Christophe’s efforts, this is now one of the top estates in the Côte de Nuits.
