Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat

Vougeot

Attending Winemaker: Charles Van Canneyt

Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat was founded in 1964 by Alain and Odile Hudelot-Noëllat. In 1978, the domaine grew considerably with the acquisition of five hectares in Vosne-Romanée from Domaine Charles Noëllat — Odile’s grandfather’s domaine — including parcels in Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant and Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, as well as premier cru parcels in Vosne-Romanée Malconsorts, Beaumonts, and Suchots and Nuits Saint Georges. Today the domaine owns fifteen appellations spread over ten hectares. The Premier Crus, Vosne Romanée Les Beaumonts, Les Suchots and Malconsorts are all produced from vines that are around 100 years old. The young Charles Van Canneyt, grandson of Alain Hudelot, took over winemaking in 2008 and has since revealed himself to be one of the great young winemakers in Burgundy.
